This is my short list of potential future projects. These aren’t necessarily things that have never been done, but project ideas that would be interesting to me to undertake.
1. Autonomous embedded control of almost any kind of robot.
2. Real Life Robotic Strings Player – Animusic Style – including miniature robotic fingers to “pic” the strings of a guitar. Additionally, a robotic musician for other instruments including the bells, piano, and melodic percussion instruments.
3. Magnetorheological Elastomer based actuation.
4. Advanced motion control applications in industrial robotics including payload aware technology.

The Animusic thing sounds like a cool possible capstone.
If we were to attempt it, this one may be feasible.
